Blood And Just - Episode 4

Episode 4 – Ride or Die

The night of the hit, tension gripped the crew. Boss T’s men packed into two battered cars, guns tucked under shirts, eyes sharp. Jay sat in the backseat, pistol heavy in his lap. Kunle sat beside him, acting cool as ever, like they weren’t minutes away from blood.

“Target na for Apapa. Rival boys dey gather there,” Baba G briefed them. “We go scatter them, show say Boss T still dey control.”

The cars screeched into the rival’s turf. Chaos erupted instantly — gunshots cracked, shouts rang, and bodies scattered. Jay’s ears rang as he fired blindly, adrenaline drowning out fear. Smoke, shouts, blood — the streets turned warzone.

At one point, a rival boy rushed at Jay with a knife. Jay pulled the trigger without thinking. The boy dropped, lifeless. Jay froze. His first kill.

“Jay, move!” Kunle yanked him behind cover, bullets ripping the wall. Jay’s chest heaved, his hands trembling. But he kept shooting, each shot pulling him deeper into the madness.

By the time it was over, the ground was littered with shells and blood. Boss T’s crew dragged survivors into the cars, retreating before the police swarmed.

Back at base, Boss T slapped Jay’s shoulder. “You get heart. Today, you be man.” The crew cheered, clapping Jay’s back.

But when Jay looked at Kunle, something was off. Kunle’s grin didn’t match his eyes. It felt… hollow.

That night, police sirens wailed outside the block. Jay’s blood ran cold. A raid. Someone tipped them off.

Cliffhanger Ending: As police stormed the street, Jay caught Kunle’s gaze. Kunle didn’t look surprised.
